JOB SUMMARY

Under direct supervision of the CDA Credentialing Manager, the CDA Credentialing Support, is responsible for providing the highest level of professionalism and customer service to candidates and other customers through daily interactions. S/he will provide credential administration and support, and ensure compliance with CDA credentialing program requirements, policies and procedures and quality assurance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enter paper applications (initial and renewal) into YourCouncil system
  • Review application for completeness
  • Process payment
    • Return incomplete paper applications (initial and renewal)
    • Review and issue credentialing decisions for renewal Candidates
  • Review submitted documents to ensure they meet Council’s documentation requirements
  • Issue problem letter/notification to Candidates regarding missing, incomplete, unacceptable documents
    • Review and issue initial credentialing decisions for borderline (denial) Candidates
    • Review Verification Visit files
  • Issue problem letters/notifications.
  • Review submitted documents to ensure they meet Council’s documentation requirements
    • Process and review applications for Special Populations.
  • Support Candidates and PD Specialists involved in “assessments in other languages.”
  • Train PDSs in administering the paper exam and send PDS paper exam
  • Score paper exams and issue credentialing decision
    • Maintain current credential files and review file information; and applicant reports and updates.
  • Review and follow-up on incomplete applications (incomplete, missing documents or payment).
  • Document all call information from Candidates.
  • Ensure proper notes and codes are entered in YourCouncil/CIMS to reflect most current status of files
    • Maintain and close files
    • Complete follow up for PDS Inquiries dealing with the Verification Visit process
    • Assist with customer support calls and resolve customer inquiries
  • Research required information using available resources.
  • Monitor and respond to Zendesk tickets
  • Monitor and respond to emails from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and respond to complaints in conjunction with CDA Quality Assurance Coordinator and CDA Credentialing Manager II.
    • Respond to non-routine and difficult credentialing issues when CDA candidates and PDS require assistance.
    • Complete PDS Search requests
    • Identify and escalate priority issues to CDA Quality Assurance Coordinator and CDA Credentialing Manager II.
    • Generate weekly updates to supervisor and include set metrics of department goals.
    • Collaborate with CDA Credentialing Manager to identify and change processes and procedures to improve efficiencies.
    • Maintains knowledge of current CDA requirements for the credentialing program and the CDA policies and procedures.
    • Maintain knowledge of YourCouncil functionality in order to help internal and external stakeholders navigate the system

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • (Specialist I) 1- to 3 years of experience/ works under supervision.
  • (Specialist II) 4 to 6 years of experience/ works under supervision.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the credentialing process.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos and emails.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to research and analyze data.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with candidates, management, staff, and external organizations.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access) and internet resources.
  • Demonstrated proficient experience at the specialist level.

 

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to maintain a stationary position, move about the office, determine what others have said or written, and frequently converse with others and exchange accurate information.

· Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the office. May also include occasional bending, stooping, squatting, and/or pushing and pulling or moving, e.g., to pack, unpack, and/or move cases. Walking up and down stairs, often while carrying objects.

· Required to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve binders, books, boxes, and files up to ten (10) pounds (lbs.). Sporadically, could be responsible to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve binders, boxes, cases, and/or files weighing as much as 25 lbs. (Assistance may not always be available.)
